24th August'09 (Monday) :
First day of attachment in KK Hospital.. Took the 2nd bus67 early in the morning @5.40am..And thruout the journey, due to being alone travelling, so have to be very alert, so as to know when will reach.. Was somehow tired, feel so much like slping, but cant, cause scare will missed the stop..lolx..So kept my eyes wide open ! Finally reach there in ard 40mins.. Started in Ward56-Paediatric ward.. Lots of babies,neonates,toddler..hahax.. The moment in step into the ward, i heard babies crying..which also made mi realise that it's time to be extra extra extra careful when dealing patients here..It's no longer like the normal adult wards.. They would only cry whenever they need something..The only way there communicate is to cry.. Thats Baby isnt it..hahax.. Learnt from Staff Nurse Candy, on how to bath an infant and also bottle feeding for them.. But first day already might a Staff Nurse-Chong WeiLing, super duper attitude..She show no respect for students, what more, she talks back to her senior staff nurse..Is tat what a SN should be behaving ?! Her way of handling babys is seriously cannot make it..so harsh ! Cannot believe it..Somewhat, calling baby a 'racal'/'abandon child' ! What the hell ! Baby is there to grow n be protected under the care of a bunch of 'CARING' n 'COMPASSIONATE' nurse ! Not a rough one like her whom don treat baby seriously ! Wake up ur idea,STAFF NURSE ! I don mind anyone who saw my blog and thinks i shldnt be commenting like this where public would be able to see..but i've to sae, sorry, this is my blog, i write whatever i wan..Don like it, just go to the top right hand corner n press the cross button.. Thanks..Anyway Overall, the first day experience was really great..The feeling, atmosphere is totally different from other places..hahax..
25th August'09 (Tuesday):
2nd Day of attachment in ward 56.. Today's work was more smooth compared to ytd.. Did bottle feeding and changing of diapers.. My left arm muscle somehow very[sour-"Suan"] now ! lolx..cause i carried a 2mth old baby for more than an hour..ONce i thot he was sound aslp n put him back to the bed, he started crying..so no choice have to carry him ard..Babies feel insecure very oftenly..so have to be very 'motherly' to them..hahax.. Just like when Mdm Tan came into the ward, she started carrying the baby, he quiet down..I tink he can feel the security of a mummy.. hahax.. There's still lots of things to be learnt..So shall make use of this 5 days posting in this Paediatric ward.. Jiayou lo ! Oh yaya, same shift with WeiHan ! so shiok ! went makan together, went home together.. So great to be in the same hospital somemore same shift ! hahax.. Anyway, jiayou lo ! Don kena Mdm Tan "Lecture" again la ! Behave ! hahax.. Best wishes tmr.. =)
